What time does church start?
Our Sunday services are at 10.30am (Doors open at 10am), and 6:00pm (Doors open at 5:30pm).
Where is the church?
We are located at 281 Cardiff Road, Aberaman CF44 6YA.
What should you wear?
Most people dress casually – but feel free to wear what you like!
Where can you park?
There is limited free parking on local roads, and a small free car park in the area. Buses and trains are also easily accessible.
What should you expect?
When you come in you will be welcomed by our host team. During the services there will be some singing, a short Bible-based talk and a chance to be prayed with if you would like. You are very welcome to just come in and watch what is going on if you would prefer and engage as much as you like.
Do you have any events for newcomers?
Every Sunday, after the morning service, we have Growth Tracks for all those who are new, to help you discover more.
At Growth Track you will spend four Sundays encountering what it looks like to follow Jesus, connect to Gateway Church Cymru, discovering your purpose and finally how you can make a difference.
Every Tuesday from 7:00pm - 8:30pm we run ALPHA at Costa Coffee Aberdare to give those who have questions a chance to find out more about the Christian faith.
What happens during a Sunday service?
Our services are introduced by one of our church leaders and start with a time of celebration and sung worship. This normally lasts 20-25 minutes. All the words are on the screens so you can sing along if you would like to. There is no pressure to do that and you should feel free to engage at your own pace, even if that means not singing at all.
What about my kids?
We have a supervised kids group for children from nursery school age to school year 6 during our 10.30am service. You can register your children at the entrance before the service and there will be kids team helpers to talk to with any questions. There is a dedicated space with toys for parents with babies to sit in with.
